The Monarch Park Community Trust is supported by a dedicated team of staff who bring a wide range of experience in arts, culture, community development, and non-profit management.

Priya Sharma
Executive Director

Priya has served as Executive Director since 2016. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Toronto and brings over 20 years of experience in non-profit leadership. Prior to joining MPCT, Priya was Program Director at a community arts organisation in Scarborough.

David Chen
Director of Programs

David oversees all arts education and community programming at MPCT. A practising visual artist with an MFA from OCAD University, he has been with the organisation since 2013. David previously coordinated the Community Kitchen program and played a key role in expanding MPCT’s youth programming.

Sarah Okafor
Director, Development & Communications

Sarah manages fundraising, donor relations, and all external communications. She joined MPCT in 2019 after working in development at several Toronto cultural institutions. Sarah is a graduate of Ryerson University’s journalism program.

James Whiteduck
Heritage Programs Coordinator

James leads MPCT’s heritage preservation work, including the East York Oral History Project and Heritage Walking Tours. He holds a background in public history and museum studies and is passionate about connecting residents with the stories of their neighbourhood.

Raha Mohammadi
Community Engagement Lead

Raha coordinates volunteer programs, community outreach, and partnership development. She joined MPCT in 2022 and brings experience in settlement services and newcomer integration from her previous role at a community health centre in Thorncliffe Park.

Amir Hassani
Finance & Operations Manager

Amir handles financial management, HR, and day-to-day operations. He is a CPA with over ten years of experience in the non-profit sector.

Lindsay Park
Youth Programs Coordinator

Lindsay runs MPCT’s youth programming including after-school workshops, the Youth Arts Council, and Summer Arts Camp. She holds a BEd from York University and previously taught elementary art in the TDSB.

Tom Nguyen
Facilities & Events Coordinator

Tom manages event logistics, venue booking, and facility maintenance. He joined MPCT in 2021 after working in event production in the hospitality industry.
